No. Shelena only creates original designs; that's what makes a Shelena Made It piece yours alone. Tell her what you love about it (the feeling, the colour, the drama) and she'll design something entirely new.

Every design is original and priced individually. You're paying for design, not just sewing. As a guide: bridal from $1,800, prom and evening from $1,200, suits from $600 and children's couture from $400. Your consultation ends with an exact quote.

A relaxed 30-minute design conversation, in the studio or by video, about your occasion, the feeling you want and your budget. No need to bring photos of other dresses: words, colours and memories are perfect. Consultations are $75.

1. Design fee. A design fee reserves Shelena's time to design and illustrate your original piece. It's non-refundable, and it counts toward your commission if you continue.

2. Production deposit. Love your design? A 50% deposit begins production and pays for your fabrics. It's non-refundable because materials are bought and work begins for you.

3. Balance. Due before your piece is delivered.

Designs remain Shelena's until they're commissioned, so a design can't be taken elsewhere to be made.

Fittings are part of every commission, and Shelena will always care for a piece she made. She doesn't alter or remake garments from other designers or stores.

Yes. Custom fashion illustrations are usually ready within 5 days to 2 weeks. You can order one on its own or add a keepsake illustration to your commission: request an illustration.

Absolutely. Your design consultation and presentation happen by video. Shelena guides your measurements remotely, a toile (practice garment) can be mailed for a video fitting on request, and your finished piece ships insured to your door. Typically 2–4 months, depending on the design. For weddings, booking 6 months or more ahead leaves the most room for fittings.

Yes. Rush service takes 1–2 months for an extra $200, and expedited shipping is available. Tell us your date when you book.

Not always. Send a request with your date and Shelena will tell you honestly what's possible.

Yes. International shipping is charged by destination and the weight of the garment.

Ready-to-wear usually ships within one business day. Bespoke pieces ship within a day of completion by your chosen method. Need it by a specific date? Let us know before ordering.
